Waleed Sherif obtained his PhD dissertation in theoretical physics at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He holds over a dozen HPC certifications from national German computing centers and NVIDIA, covering parallel programming, GPU acceleration and performance engineering, he combines strong analytical thinking with a systematic approach to solving complex technical and computational challenges. As the creator and lead developer of several open-source scientific computing libraries, he develops scalable, maintainable, research-grade software with JAX, CUDA, MPI and PyTorch for distributed, multi-GPU and multi-node applications. This combination of scientific expertise and hands-on engineering experience makes him an AI and HPC specialist focused on efficient, robust solutions for computationally demanding applications.
